Default Using Blueyonder Hosting With A Different Domain,Can It Be Done?

Hi Lads, just done a website, its on my pwp.blueyonder domain at the moment.

Got a domain thats available to me,but then u gotta pay hosting.

Is there a way of using my blueyonder hosting but with the domain name as my address?

If not can my new domain forward people to the blueyonder address,Sounds Tatty though having to do that,or does it work ok?

    Cheers.

Who did you buy the domain name from? People like 123reg will do you a free frameset pointing to your webspace. This way it keeps your domain address in the address bar. Not as good as proper hosting but most people won't notice.

    cheers

i use ukreg and i've never had a problem with them

    other pepole will recommend 123

at the end of the day they both appear to be reliable companies, and the prices are the same (afaik), so just pick one and off you go

there should be a section where you can set the free services available and then just point it at your hosting like nick said

if you want to sort out some proper hosting, let me know - i can probably offer you cheap hosting, depending on what you want

Cheers for that m8,Ill see how the site goes,if its worth it ill sort some hosting out,the whole site is less than 1mb (Thats if u find out by checking the folder u upload size, lol new to this)

Seems weird that basic ones give you 100mb HOW THE HELL would you fill that with a basic site lol.

if you look at the source for this page for example (view source) you'll see a load of meta tags at the top of the page

    the keywords are :
    hacking,modchip,xbox,gsm,sky,ondigital,sat tv hack,satellite,tivo,vbulletin,forum,bbs,discussion
    and the description is
Digital Forums. What do you want to know today ?
use the keywords to include one or two word quips about what you do and then use the description to give a more detailed explanation

so you'd want things like computer, repairs, fixing etc

    that's a very basic response

for more help search here and google for 'SEO' (search engine optimisation)
