    Default Bit torrent using uni network??

    Hey guys, can any of you help me? I'm wanting to use bit torrent on my own laptop in my uni halls, thing is bit torrent, limewire, etc can't connect, obvoiusly the uni is blocking it, did a search and found this, please dnt flame me, I don't really know why you flamed this guy (there would obviously be a reason behind it), but as dirty girl was sayin on that thread BT can be used for LEGAL things as well as illegal....anyway....any help appreciated....

    While BT can indeed be used for legal filesharing, attempting to circumnavigate the system at Uni is illegal and can earn you up to 5 years imprisonment.

    Like Sanjay said, use NG's.

    Would they not be able to monitor the usage and how much bandwidth you are using and be able to tell what your doing?

    Are you allowed to play games @ uni? online/cross network hehe just wondering

    Actually no, we're not allowed to play games like half life, unreal, quake, etc online. But we can play the pishy little java games....as usual!

    And the uni does keep records of their connections, but don't check them unless they get a complaint....if no-one complains then they don't know and if they don't know then they don't care!
