Stopped off to buy some fags and get a sarnie today, and near the shop was this scruffy looking guy laid out on the pavement. There was a few school kids hanging around and some people at a bus stop. They didn't seem to be bothered about it, but whilst I was queueing to pay for me bits, I kept looking over at him through the window and he was'nt moving in the slightest. When I got out, I thought 'can't just leave it..' and went over to him and give him a shove and tried to talk to him. Turns out he was well pissed or out of it on something. felt a cunt walking away then as some of the kids were giggling. But then, I would probably do it again tomorrow (Not with him though

). Just wondered what others would do in a similar situation.

well its a difficult situation, i would be very weary nowadays as ive seen in local papers that stunts like this have been pulled where the person going to help ends up getting mugged

Nearly exact same thing happend to me and a mate last week, a bloke was walking his bike, and fell to the floor. as we got closer he got up, but was swaying about. we slowed down, and asked if he was ok, he replyed "sound as a pound mate, your wearing green ha ha" pointing at my mates green shirt. lol, he was pissed as a fart, but i couldnt just leave him

I was walking past a phone box in ormskirk town center when a guy slumped out of it. He just looked pissed to me as there is about 4 pubs in 1 min walk from it and we always got some drunks around.

Thought not much more of it thinking silly piss head.

I walked about another 5 mins then decided it was probaly best to check @ least if he's ok or call him a taxi.

So I went back to find him and it looked as if the paramedics had just arrived. spoke to the paramedic told him what I saw happen and he said it looks like he could have had a heart attack but he also had a lot to drink to.

Made me think about the next time I come accross someone in this situation.

pmsl....But happened to me last year.Was driving back from the bookies when I noticed this guy lying by the side of the road..Thought nah,fook it someone else can get him but then thought what if that was one of my family..So stopped the car and picked the guy up..He was wrecked out his tree..Got him to his feet and he asked if I would drop him off...No way I thought,so flagged a Taxi down and asked the guy would he take him home.He said ok,then I went over n picked the guy up and poured him into the taxi,the look on the Taxi drivers face

i would of gone up to see if he was ok, but not got to close.

the right thing to do would be to check on him see if he is ok? if not concious! then you should phone the police and let them sort it out.

but in the society we live in today nobody give's a fuck!! about anyone but themselves! its also hard in todays world to care about people when we see all the scams\tricks what are pulled?

what if the guy had just had the shit kicked out of him for being a drunk\tramp?? some of the replys here are shamefull!!
