Hey ladies and gents,

This is probably worth a look for a few of you, its called ebid and is basically very simular to ebay but a lot cheaper.

Thought this would be the best forum as its a time limited bargin.

For today you can join as a Life Gold memeber for life for 75p, the cost of 1 auction on ebay! and gold memebership means no fees for life. Normally its £45

Its not as big as ebay at the momenet, but as people catch on about the much cheaper fees i'm sure it will catch up with feebay pretty quick

I'm glad that someone is trying to compete with Ebay, it's about time ebay lowered their fees.
Sadly I don't think it's going to happen. Ebid looks good but with no income from fees how can they compete with the marketing power of Ebay?

What really pisses me off about ebay is that you pay to list, pay a final value then if that wasn't enough, the scheming bastards at Paypal (an ebay company) bend you over and roger you for some more money.

It is swings and roundabouts as some people clearly have no idea how to shop on the internet and go straight for ebay. These people end up paying well over the odds for something so it's good when I'm selling.

I will signup for Ebid and just use a load of Buy it now auctions as they are free when you are a gold member.

used to use ebid all the time, is fairly decent and has a good member base, definetly worth a try if your sick of ebay

I hear what your saying about a bit of competition for feebay - its about time. This is just a 1 off offer of no fee's for 75p- normally they would charge more so there is some income there - they are also linked up with their own pay system i think so probably take a bit off that too if you choose to use it (which im sure most will)

I think they are doing this kind of offer to build up a big customer base, which is the only way they have any hope of competing, but no doubt it will be hard

Missed this at the cheaper price but £1.50 is nothing. The netbanx payment page for the Gold fee was a bit toy-town (jumping all over the place each time a box was filled in) but that might just be my Firefox settings. Really can't see how they make their money tho'.
