PSP Virtual Keyboard and Browser on 1.5 FW?

I have read here and there that this won't work on V1.5 firmware when downgraded from 2.0. I'd really like to be able to downgrade when I get my PSP and surf. Is what I have read outdated already or is it true?

You can use other third party browsers which are not as good as the sony one but adequate. Not a large price to pay to be able to play homebrew

you can boot iso's so a stripped down wipeout or that horse racing game will provide you with a reasonable browser, but you have to boot the game first obviously. it's not gonna be as good as the 2.0 one.

you gotta make the choice of what you want.

Can you recommend a browser, I have been browsing the net for about an hour and am getting nowhere

EDIT: A tutorial would be very handy on how to set a PSP up to surf via Wi-Fi as I have been searching for 2 hours now and all I can find is people having problems setting it up with solutions to their particular problem.

Ok, I found some waffle on www.yourpsp.com. I have no idea what kind of router to buy though, I have *** broadband, any advice would be lapped up with much appreciation

I use a homebrew one called Tenchi. Its jap but easy enough to use. The only thing is that you have to create a portal in HTML. Really easy though. If you PM me I can point you in the right direction of a copy of it ;
