Why the hell would you put a digital SLR camera in the freezer?!! whats that going to achieve? apart from probably fogging up the inside of the lenses and messing up the ccd sensor.

It sounds like you've damaged the camera a fair bit unfortunately probably best to take it into a camera shop for them to have a look at it.

    Good luck.

I am sure all the condensation getting inside the lenses, ccd and electronics as it thaws will work wonders for a digital camera

@tooleatavalva- Have you tried setting fire to it?:whistle

Seriously though, the lens probably has a home/max position sensor or actuator, and it has probably got dislodged or snapped, causing the camera to time-out when trying to find its lens position- I would take it to a dealers and get them to look at it, you need dust-free enviroment, anti-static etc when dealing with lenses/ccd's, and if the ccd goes slightly out of position, you will never get it back without the correct equiptment...
