My tried and trusted method, everyone has their own:

Day 1: In the evening, wash with warm water and E45 Emollient Wash Cream.
Day 2: Let the tattoo dry out, try to wear loose clothing.
Day 3 & onwards: Cream once a day with E45 cream. Do not wash.

Within 10-14 days mine have completely healed and settled. Been using this method for the last 6 years.

Until the tattoo heals, wear loose clothing around the area and avoid the sun.

Always used Preperation H on all my tattoo's, excellent stuff, have to wrap the part at bedtime though, or the missus will be well pissed at the state of the bedding.

Cant believe the talk of emla and ametop, this is whats used by me on the childrens wards to numb childrens hands before bloods are taken....lmao

I got told to use that about six years ago. My ex tried it on a small tat she got and it got infected. The doctor said you should never use any creams on them only soap and water. Don't you think it pulls the colour ond ant takes longer to heal? I wasn't impressed with it.

Looking forward to se everybody's tats.
