bmw e46 airbag w-reg 2.5

hi all
ive got a problem with the above car,airbag light on.read with snap on scanner,scanner says( ob battery disconection 1)
anyone any ideas

Try disconnecting the battery, cleaning all the terminals and make sure the ground is clean that goes from the battery. Failing that, Have a look for the control unit and make sure all cables are running towards it, ( not sheared or cut )

failing that get it to your dealer let them whack it on there big Diagnostic machines

cheers for your help,but i have found out there is a diconection unit that when in an accident it fire's to disconect the battery so a fire cannot start.

now all i need to do is find it

The cable in the boot to the battery is sometimes the problem m8.

i now no where the connection unit is
