Q
If I'm not back in five minutes... wait longer!
I'm game.
It's a great idea............... count me in
We need someone with knowledge to setup a game on a suitable host, then post when and where, I know Wizzo has already suggested it but tomorrow night might be a bit soon for some people.
Anyone up for organising this? I'll get another forum opened up in the Sports section specifically for poker and Then i'll move all the relevant posts to that section.

I'm for this too. We playing for money or just for fun?
All sweeping statements are wrong.
I think we should have 2 DF rooms if we can do it, one for money and one for fun.Originally Posted by Cenus_
Someone will have to guide me because I've played a little online but have no real idea on how the hosts like Ladbrokes etc work.
I'd be up for this Not very good atm but would be a laugh
For a start steer clear of ladbrookes, In my experiance it seems dodgy as hell, i.e. you get a great hand e.g 3 of a kind so go in big time, then someone else beats ya with a flush, now I know this is possible but it seems to happenb all the time on laddys and a few other people have said the same thing.Originally Posted by CzarJunkie
Personally use Pacific Poker seems kosher and they have tourneys on all the time so you dont lose a fortune (but you stand to win a fair bit).

http://www.pokerroom.com/ seems pretty good and you can create custom tables - and make them private
it's even worse on bet365 but they both use more or less the same software so that's expectedOriginally Posted by Cenus_

Im up for it, for fun not for money!
please no more of this "stay clear of so and so's site because its rigged" that's just beginner players excuse for getting a bad beat..........that's poker for you.
i've used quite a few and love both ladbrokes and pokerroom, its all down to personal preference.
well up for a DF tourney though. anyone had experience of setting one up then?
Bug
Just signed up to Pokerroom.com, easy enough to set up private real and play money tables, maximum of 10 at a table.
Ok, think we should set up a regular night to play, we need someone to set up a real money table and someone to set up a play table.
How about giving it a whirl this evening on the play tables, see how we get on, then if enough turn up and want to spend some cash then they can set up a real money table.
9pm tonight at pokerroom.com, how's everyone fixed?
well up for that guys, although prefer 9.30ish
but if enough of us turn up we can have a few tourneys going?
do we have to sign up to pokerroom.com now ?
You don't have to do it now, took me 5 minutes this morning so you could do it tonight if you want to join in.
Ok the Swisster is well up for this, lets have some fun... i'll post pictures of the beer i buy for it so you can all enjoy
Losing Gracefully Since September 2010
cool.. ill join a game if im about tonight.. know the basics, but again a simple guide would help.
There you go m8, https://www.pokerroom.com/main/page/games/pokerSchool
Gives you the basics and there's also detailed rules etc.
Texas Hold'em is the game of choice so I guess that's what we'll be playing.
