As a few of you know I had a nosebleed last Friday morning which I dismissed as a girly kinda thing, and went to work as usual.

Saturday 3:30am I was ambulanced to Bolton A&E with a severe nasal haemorrhage.

Got back Saturday afternoon and piccy'd what I'd left the missus with..

1 hour later the ambulance was back to help with a more intense heamorrhage, where I lost 3.3 pints in 40 minutes. Ambulance guys fixed me up a transfusion on route.

After 2 transfusions & 3 saline drips over the next 3 nights here's what my right arm looked like 30 mins ago.

It's all about blood pressure and mine is/was hyper critical.

Bloody hell, that first picture looks like a murder scene investigation photo! What exactly is a nasal haemorrhage? Sounds like you lost a hell of a lot of blood.

Cheers chaps. We did call the paras again (4th time) at 19:30 but I'd managed to get a clot formed in 15 mins. This at least gives me a few hours to be prepared this time.

Oh and yes mould forms on all our sealants in the bathroom, usually needs cleaning off every 2 weeks.

Crikey - hope everything works out for you mate.

I've had nosebleeds ever since I was a kid for no apparent reason - I've had creams, courterisations (spelling?) and loads of shit done, but I still get em now and again when it's really hot, or I pick it to vigerously lol. Never had anything to that extent though, although been close a few times. I once bled for 30 minutes into the empty skin of an orange just for kicks lol - it congeiled into a kind of jelly like red mass, which fascinated before I realised I was about to pass out through blood loss.

Anyway, hope everything gets sorted and you're back to yerself soon.

He's back in hospital just now, taken in again last night, and he's under observation.

Good old Royal Bolton Hospital, they haven't a clue.
