pinnacle studio is pretty good ver 9 or 10 will do

I too would recommend Pinnacle Studio, I use version 9, its pretty straight forward to make a simple video from camcorder footage, but it has some fairly powerful (for a home user) capabilities too.

yep a m8 of mine has a dazzle capture device and swears by pinnacle aswell
