Night Watch

Ok, what can i say. This film was a bit freaky, but it was very good. It is claimed to be the new Lord of the Rings however I see elements of Star Wars and the Matrix in it. I don't normally like these type of films, but this was very different, and a good concept.

The film is russian, but don't be put off by subtitles, they are actually done in an expressive manner. Its very weird. I don't know what else to say. Its based around Vampires, light and dark, and light watch the dark at night. To ensure they are keeping the peace.

Also the visuals are very good.

Saw it a couple of weeks ago and I'd go along with much of the above. The visuals are often impressive butv in some parts a little intrusive and showy. It felt like a big prologue to me and I'd expect the second part of the trilogy to be a lot better. The setup however is excellent and I love the whole dark and light, good and bad nonsense.

Really enjoyed it, was put off the first time I watched it but gave it a second chance. Just wondering how long it will take for the yanks to remake it.

I hear the third one is being produced by a US company and will be in English. Each part of the story is in a different part of the world.

I enjoyed it too. Must watch it again though as I was a little bit tipsy when I watched it last hehe

You heard wrong. The next two are going to be Russian aswell. If they did that they'd have to change every character in the film. It would destroy the entire trilogy. Would be like changeing all the actors for the last part of Lord of the Rings.

I stand corrected. I did a bit more research and Fox have bought the distribution and remake rights and it would seem there maybe plans to remake the trilogy with English speaking actors/actresses
