Yes mate, go for Zonelabs security suite, its a firewall, av and spyware protection all in one neat little app. Had it about 2 years now and they constantly release updates for it.

Donwload it from their site and then look around for a keygen on places like astalavista, its not too hard to find. Once you have a key you can download unlimited updates for 60,000 days.

Strangely, the same combination I have used for the past 2 years or so. Can't fault either program, saved me a numerous amount of times and isn't too memory/cpu intensive either.

Norton 2006 suite for me - I'm not too shit hot with all this stuff but it does the job and does it well and doesn't interfere as much as 2005 did. So a big :thumbs from me for Norton 2006

The best firewall you can get is a router mate, cheap and very reliable so go get yerself one. It's chrimbo

IMO, norton is too resource intensive.

Anyone running Sygate, might want to look elsewhere for a free firewal.

It also looks like Keiro is going the same way.

Never been a fan of Norton myself.l

I'll never use norton again since I uninstalled it in the past, it had made a right mess of my file associations or something like that. Lots of things were asking me for norton (something) to run. I've used zonealarm for a few years now & it's been good as a firewall (I also used peerguardian when I was into torrents, but that's slightly different). I used avg for a few years & I never seemed to have a problem with it but what I use now as my anti-virus is nod32 I've had it on for a month now & I was impressed from day one. It scanned my whole system in 10 minutes, which was outstanding compared to avg. I have about 150GB spread over 2 seperated drives which total 200GB capacity, I thought 10 mins was excellent for this.

A new nod32 fan, not that you should usually get excited about these things but I have been impressed

Another recommendation for NOD32, uses Norton for ages, but never going back, been using NOD for quite some time, and runs far more efficiently in the background, not interupting you for this n that, and is less of a memory hog!
