Alone in the Dark

Christian Slater, Stephen Dorff and Tara Ried

Based on the game (although I never played the game) it is basically a violent version of the X-files. But with a heavyweight cast you would expect more (Dorff isnt in it enough). But saying that that this is better than Uwe Boll's last game conversion effort (House of the Dead). SFX are average and Tara Reid looks sexy with secretary type glasses but after watching her in this film you will understand where the phrase 'cardboard acting' comes from.

Overall descent film worth a watch if there is nothing else on. 6.5/10
