Cancel Your Contract With Three ??

But surely either 3 or nokia should be able to unlock them - i've already paid for the code (which is allegedly going to be refunded)

"Club Nokia" say 3 have the system to generate the codes, my local Nokia Service centre says 3 have the gear to do the codes themselves and that they aren't allowed to do it for me without written authority from 3. but 3 refuse to provide the code saying either Nokia or the Retailer we originally bought it from are the people who have to arrange for it to be unlocked.

This is just 3 being awkward as far as I can see. I've got a handset which I paid good money for and which is now almost useless unless I get another 3 simcard to use in it - and no way i'm going to do that. Their T&C's paragraph 3.6 states that if requested they will provide the code, also says if the purchase price was less than the full retail price then the difference has to be paid.

Guess it's hurry up and wait till the various warring nokia unlock teams see sense and release the tools to unlock them

finally got both of my contracts cancelled today although it did take 4 calls , the first 3 times i called as soon as i said that i wanted to cancel my contracts they hung up (cheeky fu__ers) on the fourth call i told them that i had spoken to ofcom (a new version off oftel) and my solicitor and both of them confirmed that i was within my rights to cancel as soon as i mentioned ofcom they couldnt be more helpfull and took my 30 days notice without an argument.

im really happy with my contracts but fancied a couple of new phones, no-one else can offer me a deal with the amount of inclusive mins i get from three so i will be signing back up as soon as i have chosen some new handsets

has anyone received any sort of confirmation that there contract has been cancelled. a letter or similar?? i called them and asked for a letter to be sent out and they said that its not possible and i will only receive a letter after my 30 days notice have gone and i have received my final bill. anyone had any confirmation?

I've had my PAC code from them in writing on official 3 paper - that proves they have accepted it as far as i'm concerned

DD is cancelled - just waiting for the final bill

i only ask because i called them to confirm mine had been cancelled and it hadnt the little fucker on the phone had lied just to get me off the phone. apparently now i have spoken to a manager it has been cancelled but you never know do you!!

hmmm got me worried now although the calls should be recorded so if they mess you around as long as you know the approx time and date when you called they can trace the call and listen to the recording

mmmm thats what i thought but when i told them to check for the recording they said calls may be recorded for training purposes but not all of them would be. i will call them back again on monday and try to confirm that it has been cancelled this time, otherwise in 30 days time it will be too late to do anything about it.

they woudl record every call bt says they "may" record the call in practice all the calls are recorded for both the customer and the companys protection (fraudulent sales, threats etc)

It is too late to do anything about it now m8, as the call charges started on the 17th of November. If the handset/sim has been used since this date then you have accepted the changes.

the contract will run(and be charged for) untill the pac is transfered to the new company as you are still able to use there service weather you are or not

I thought that was the case. I remember them taking the money for them, and then refunding to some people. Just wondered if the situation ever changed.
