Halo 2 running on Xbox 360

Had the opportunity today to witness somebody trying to get halo 2 to run on an xbox 360 pod in Manchester. Unfortunately the disk will not run straight out of the box. Seems that you will have to link to live to download the patch, so if you aint got live ure screwed for playing old xbox games.

When you buy an Xbox 360 it comes with Xbox Live straight out the box, so you can download all the patches you need for Xbox compatibility.

to expand on the post above, you get silver live free, which is basically just downlaods, bonus content etc, not online games, although they did say weekends would occasionally be a free gaming session for silver live

as already stated many times, you will need the HDD for this too, as the patches to make the games work are stored there
