    Default Down by the river...

Making the most of this morning nice weather I went out and set about getting some more shots for my A Level project of "Abandonment"

Some not bad shots there, my favorite hmmm i think i'd say the 4th one, in the sepia colours. Seems to portray "abandonment" the best to me. The boat in it just looks completely abandoned and forgotten about and looks alone with none life around it.

That's my favourite too, it's funny really as the other side of the hedge is a busy road and around the corner just out of sight is a small harbour with fishing baots coming and going all day...

I had to clamber down an embankment, place my camera on it's tripod in about 6 inches of water, then in my wellies get the shot lined up ok and hope for the best... Seemed to work ok..

Is that taken on that river that runs alongside the freeway to Chivenor from barnstaple wingnut? Didn't realise it came up that high mate. I hate the congestion in Barnstaple to get over that little bridge in the town centre to get on the Chivenor road as well!

No, I had forgotten about those boats down there, it's the estuary at Velator. Head into Braunton from Barnstaple, then turn left where the new Tesco's is being built, straight over the roundabout and about 300m past Tiki on the left as you head towards Crow Point.
Barnstaple sucks anytime of the day, can't wait for the new downstream bridge to be built, should make it all better..
