Ok, so my mate got it tonight, tried it in Pal and NTSC mode, no dice, messed around with the settings a bit, said motherfucker a few times and then sat down and fiddled some more.

Then he tried the rather obvious thing and it works now.

lmao classic, i found out last week aswell that it also helps if you plug the scart lead into the back of your tele, lets u play games so much better (after fuckin about and thinkin it was dead)
