Info for all you jamie oliver / gordan ramsay / Nigella wannabees...

Hey all! been reading a few of the posts and noticed that ABCMan has given out a fair few recipes for ya (tried em both they were great mate!) and since i love cooking thought i would spare some for ya to impress ur Lad/Lass/Mates/Parents/Dog etc.
They are all really easy and very quick and not expensive at all! I could have taken pictures but i didnt know if anyone would want to them and especially didnt want to get flamed and if needed i can at a later date

    Chicken Kievs.

Fairly well known and liked by most..

    you need:
1 large chicken breast per person (as ABC previously mentioned Asda 4 for £3.80 or something)
    butter
garlic 1 clove per breast (or more if you like garlic)
any herbs you fancy (i either mix a bit of fresh parsley and dried oregano or just parsly on its own works great)
1 egg per 2 chicken breasts (give or take)
    a little flour
Breadcrumbs (you can either buy readymade or make your own - to do this use a few slices of stale bread and stick em in the blender or lightly toast some bread and grate it) although for your first attemp readymade will do!

First make an incision in the side of your chicken breast, be careful not to cut all the way through, you should be aiming for a fairly large "pocket".
next put 1 heaped dessert spoon (big spoon) of butter per breast in a bowl.
Crush your garlic cloves into the bowl with the butter in.
add your herbs if i was to measure it i would say perhaps 2 teaspoons of fresh herbs or 1 teaspoon of dried herbs. but again it depends on your taste.
    mix it all together.
using a spoon or fork fill the "pocket" (of your chicken breast) with the garlic butter.
next beat an egg and pour into a large flattish bowl (you need to be able to place the chicken in it to cover it evenly), put some flour on a large plate and your breadcrumbs on another plate.
Now this bit gets a bit messy (just dont lick your fingers)
Holding the "pocket" on your chicken breast together, first dip it in the egg making sure to cover it on both sides, then dip in your flour (this only needs to be a light covering) then dip in your breadcrumbs.
Now just fry them on a low heat with a little bit of oil for about 15 mins or until it is cooked through.
serve with some veg and potatoes or chips.

Dont forget to wash up or you will spoil the illusion! :thumbs

    More if ya want em...

sometime ago when i was back at school i took food technology for one of my GCSE's as i thought it would be easy, I was wrong! However, we got to make many of types of dishes and I became a pretty good cook. All I gotta do now is muster up some shits, fucks and bollocks while i'm cooking and I could give Mr Ramsay a run for his money

well while where on the subject, i might as share what i've got going on in the kitchen right now,

chop & fry a small onion in olive oil
    add garlic to taste
add one or two tins of plum tomatoes into a pan and also add the frying pan contents (or just fry in the pan if u cant be arsed to wash up two things). Roughly break up the tomatoes if they are not prechopped
simmer it all for about 20 minutes
blend it all up to smooth it out
    add some cream
    put on some toast

enjoy easy tomato soup, nicer than shop brought and costs about 20p to serve 1 or two people or 30-40p to serve 4 people.

can also add carrots or other veg before blending, or not belnd dependig on what u do. Basically this is a good, hot, cheap meal if ur watching the pennies or fancy a healthy lunch (minus the cream )

    ...
    I'm new to this
