    Default Softmodding

Hi, as I have just ordered my Xbox 360, wondering about modding my xbox to get the last months use at its max, but I am wondering if its worth all the money...anyone got a rough estimate how much softmodding or any modding will cost me? Thanks

    Kev

My mates in the same boat as you, Unfortunatly I have the paypal account so I'm The buyer :|

memory card - Got one from ebay for £6 ( official too : D )
Splinter cell - Again ebay , £4.20 ( 007 agent under fire or mech assault do the trick too but are limited to Early prints of the game )

Grand total of £10.20 delivered , Not bad if you ask me

Saying that you may have to go for a usb / action replay thingy to get the Save onto the memory card so may be a tad more expensive. If one of your friends has a modded console Just ask him to throw the exploit on your memory , My friend is opting for Krayzie Ndure Installer

Some of the more savvy people may be better at explaining the process though as haven'tperformed nore done any research about softmodding . But pretty sure thats the kind of kit you need

I would think you would have more chance messing the xbox up by softmodding and better of soldering a duo x 2 In. (£10.50)
very easy to do and if you need any advice doing it give us a shout

yess you will need a method of getting the files needed for the softmod onto the mem card.

the softmod itself is so easy to do personally i always use softmod installer deluxe v2.0

shop around like munkee and you can get the bits needed for next to nothing and you can use em again and again and it never costs you any extra

    Info Re: Softmodding

You can get more then a few months use with a modded xbox, There is still alot of great games coming out for the xbox. Depending on what features you want there are many choices to mod your xbox with. I recommend the x3 modchip. I have installed a few x3 and I have not have any complaints, plus they have a great bios not to mention the addons. You might consider upgrading your hhd, you can run backups, emulators( atari up to n64, 1000's of games.), and xbmc. The big black box still has a lot of life left in it. Just my 2 cents.
