It is a terrible waste but what great photos they make.
I though some of them had been 'shopped but I'm not sure. When you consider the cost of making a fighter plane, which is usually in the millions, think of how much that little lot comes too.
I am not sure why but I love old wrecks and disused vehicles, ships and buildings? :nowords:
Nice post Burner.
Looks like a waste, but some passenger planes have a life-span and have to be retired after a certain lengh of time (25 years I think) and I'm sure I've heard somewhere that there is a certain amount of them fighters and bombers that are still capable of flying if required (for a war) and can be ready to go in a very short time. Cool pics though, those B-52's are awesome!
I'm sure i read somewhere that you can actually buy these planes dirt cheap, and i mean very very cheap.
Bloody hell, what a waste.
I can't believe how many there are!, good post m8, like it.

WOW, stunning pictures mate! hard to believe the number of them lying there doing nothing!
I guess you could look at like its a waste, but they're probably all lying there for a reason ie they're broken lol or past their best. Im guessing not all of them are beyond repair though.
They should open them up as accomodation for the homeless or something lol ship them all off to airplane graveyard country lol
you'll also find some passenger planes are in graveyards which are still brand new and never ever gonna be used!!!
Just use enough water to cover your vegetables, the same goes for when you're having a bath....
Its not a photoshop... you can see it for real on Google's satellite maps. (been posted before)

hmmm, i wonder how much they cost, i remember a while ago i went to a restraunt which was on an old 747, cant remember where it was, somewhere in australia me thinks
good pics btw
was thinking about that, making it into a restaraunt where they served on littl traye and had hostesses bring things round on troleys. (could be aimed at children of course.Originally Posted by dan288
