It is a terrible waste but what great photos they make.

I though some of them had been 'shopped but I'm not sure. When you consider the cost of making a fighter plane, which is usually in the millions, think of how much that little lot comes too.

I am not sure why but I love old wrecks and disused vehicles, ships and buildings? :nowords:

    Nice post Burner.

Looks like a waste, but some passenger planes have a life-span and have to be retired after a certain lengh of time (25 years I think) and I'm sure I've heard somewhere that there is a certain amount of them fighters and bombers that are still capable of flying if required (for a war) and can be ready to go in a very short time. Cool pics though, those B-52's are awesome!

WOW, stunning pictures mate! hard to believe the number of them lying there doing nothing!

I guess you could look at like its a waste, but they're probably all lying there for a reason ie they're broken lol or past their best. Im guessing not all of them are beyond repair though.

They should open them up as accomodation for the homeless or something lol ship them all off to airplane graveyard country lol

You can usually find old Russian Subs at the bottom of the ocean, problem is the crew are usually still on board and alive

was thinking about that, making it into a restaraunt where they served on littl traye and had hostesses bring things round on troleys. (could be aimed at children of course.

great pics, would love to go over there just to see them
