Default How important is your sim?

Went out earlier, before I left I picked up my main mobile, pda, house keys, car keys. As I pulled away up the road, I dipped my hands into my coat and couldn't find my mobile, figured I must have left it at home after all and didn't worry about it till I got home and couldn't find it anywhere. I even phoned it and it went straight to answer phone which then told me something was up as it is never off and always charged up. Couldn't find it in the house, so back tracked my steps in the street with a torch as it was dark and finally found it... in pieces in the gutter.. but sim was still in it thank god. I had all sorts of things going through my head, realised the amount of hassle it would have caused me if I hadn't found it. How would you deal with it?

my missus picked up my phone in a bar that id left it in, she forgot to give it me back and took it home then turned it off. even tho i had a spare number and phone with 99 percent of my contacts in it sods law was that i needed a 1% contact in the other one. she turned it on gave me the number and coincedentaly run out of credit on her phone so decided to use mine....she has a few callsthat were supposed to be only for me and a couple of texts from lady 'friends' of mine aswell as checking the texts i had on it . She then confronted my ladyfriends who said nothing was going on then blew a gasket at me...so far its cost me about 800 quid in flowers chocolates and appologies in white gold its only been a week and a bit. stupid fuckin fone.

Could do with losing a few people from my phone actually.

On the most part it'd be a pain at most, but make regular backups to PC

So it's the phone's fault you were too lazy to put a pin number on the handset?

All my sims are backed up too. But as I change my number regularly it doesnt really matter about loosing my number.

Fortunatly i have only ever lost one handset though, and that was brand new so hadnt had chance to use it.

Plus I always keep my numbers on my sim, as it is easier for me to back a sim up than the handset itself, also in case tha fone buggers up I still have my numbers etc etc.

You should have played the "what the hell are you going through my phone for anyway, don't you trust me" line.

All my numbers are stored on the phone with them backed up on the computer. The reason I have em on the phone is that Orange once decided (for no apparent reason) to block my sim card. Phoned em up and they apologised but said the only thing they could do once it was blocked was send another replacement, so I ended up losin all my numbers. - I'd be pissed off if I had to lose my number though because I'd had it for about 6 years now, and I know how much it pisses me off when other people are always chaning their feckin number!

    tbops you silly silly boy!

Personally i have a pin lock on my phone, another on my sim and just incase someone finds my phone while its on theres another lock on the messages, pictures and videos. Each of the 3 pin locks have different numbers too!

a little over the top but its better to be safe then sorry.

Once when I had a mate round, we popped out, and he left his phone at my place.

It started going off and my bird answered it......and it was a call from my mate's bird

Completely innocent, but she still shoed him for it

    Shooooooo-ryuken!
