    Default DATA RECOVERY AFTER FORMAT

    Hi guys,

    I need help.....

I've formatted a drive that I didn't want to and I need to recover files off it.

I think the drive was FAT but I did a quick format to NTFS.

I have an old copy of R Studio, but they see the files but when recovered are unopenable.

Any advice on software or people that can recover it. etc.

    Cheers

    Tom

Just done something similar, used File Scavenger, recovered over 2000 mp3's, also various jpegs bitmaps and other files, recovered everything back to it's original file name and folder

Easy Recovery Pro is your daddy.

Stop using the drive in it's entirety (and that includes powering it up) until you are ready to run the recovery software.

Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

Have a search for miniPE or Hiren's Boot CD

Both should be able to help you out as they have many recovery programs including Easy Recovery Pro.

miniPE will boot XP from a CD
Hiren's will boot DOS from a CD
