    Default Best sound recording program?

I'm doing my Radio project at home for Uni and I was just wondering what the best sound recording prog besides Wave Recorder is?

I'm looking for something where you can mess about with the levels to get the right sound.

Adobe Audition is my personal fave.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

I used to use the original Cool Edit. Since upgrading my pc, I now use something called Audacity. Much the same thing.

Didn't know that Adobe Audition is the new Cool Edit.

I'm gonna give that a whirly now!

Audacity is nowhere near the same as Cool Edit, let alone Cool Edit Pro (now known as Adobe Audition)
