      Default lappy blank boot screen

      i havent seen it yet but it bootstraps ok, bios info is shown.
      it shows 'windows is starting press f8'etc
      it shows windows startup screen with blue progress blocks then goes to blank screen

      seems to work fine in safe mode showing login screen, etc.
      so far i have asked user to toggle ctrt/lcd option but no joy. win 2k is o/s.
      any ideas??

      twas a corrupt graphics driver
      i booted in vga mode and reinstalled the driver and it worked
