the only thing i suggest is taking the router out of the equation and use a direct connection to the xbox360 and set it up like that, then see if it lags.Originally Posted by Drogo
Do we really need 3 RR6 threads?
Anyway played a few games on live, hosted a few and joined a few, you do get a couple with lag as they are mostly in the US atm (obv as it's not out over here yet) but can't say it was that bad tbh, even wheni was playing on the US servers the lag wasnt really that bad, but what did happen was that even through i crossed the line in say 2nd position, when it did the totals it pushed me down to 3rd.
I'm connecting xbox to a switch, router on same switch and no hassle, have some rules on router to open ports and direct to the xbox (which is on a static ip).

forward the ports 3074 udp, 3074 tcp and 88 udp to your xbox ip. Your nat test should go ok then

Have read that if you disconnect your computer (if you have one connected through the same router) you will get rid of most of the lag.
I'm at work at the mo but if I remember, it's the last blade (System?), got to connections(?) and disconnect your computer that way.
This has been mentioned and reported to have worked in other forums.
Hope that helps.
Another thing to help with your strict NAT is to put your console on a fixed IP address and set your router DMZ to this address.
Thanks guys will try both of these options..
Regards and merry christmas to all
Just an additional for anyone else that is having this problem.
I'm getting a feeling that this may have been mentioned a few times whilst I was away but it's only a link to people suffering from online lag and a solution -
