Default Bit Torrent Ports

Hi,

I use Azureus to download but latley have been experiancing slow downloads (5kbs or less). The ports 6881-6889 are open in my router and firewall and im connecting to the seeds so thats not a problem.

My ISP is *** and I read a while ago that they were blocking these ports? Has anyone got some recommended alternative ports to use?

PS - This is also causing my whole net to stop working also but if I close the program everything is fine.

some isps do shape the traffic on common p2p ports, just use something else.
You didnt need to forward the whole range of ports by the way, azureus uses just one. (tools > options > connection)

Since I moved to port 49152 I've had no problems on Pipex. Port 6881 seems very "constrained" so I put that down to my ISP's restrictions on that port.

I alternate between uTorrent and ABC.
