Xbox 360 LIVE help required

Hi guys,

Ive never used the xbox live before, and so know nothing about it.

I sent her in doors off the the shops today to get a live pack for the 360.

she came back with the "Xbox Live 12 months membership plus pack!"

#it comes with headset, PGR2 (which already got) and the Arcade thingy.

To be fair it does say xbox 360 compatible on the box. But looks to me like it was intended to be used with standard Xbox console.

What i need to know before i let the kids open in on xmas day is will it work with the 360 as id expect it to, as she was sent out to get the 360 Gold membership.

Any ideas?

should just be the same, if not if you have an old xbox use the live account on there then transfere it to the 360

how do 360s go online? have they got a broadband modem in them, then plug into a phone line?? does anyone know how much gold membership is 4 the year? hope these arnt too silly questions but i never used live b4

no they don't have a broadband modem built in, you have to have broadband to go online with. and the live is £40 for the year or you can pick them up for £20 with project gotham racing 2. from game website, if the offer is still on.

they got a network connection via an ethernet port you plug into your router , or they got an option to go wireless with wireless adapter (802.11 a/b/g)

gold membership is £39.99 for 12 months , £14.99 for 3 months or (i think) £4.99 for 1 month.
But you can also try gold membership for 1 month free

yep set up router or whatever option you use and put code in and bobs your uncle i bougth one of these packs becasue they were cheap worked a treat

im must say im not impressed with the amount of shit you need to buy for the 360. like when i bought a wireless joypad then needed £15 extra to recharge it??? wtfs goin on thats around £47 for a pad. they might as well charged £500 with all the extras instead of it soundin cheap for £210
