Photo Competition - January

1st day of the 1st month of a new year........ happy new year ! :banana1

And it's time to get your thinking caps back on for this months theme.... Black & White.

Again, interpret it any way you want. Could be as simple as converting a shot to B&W or shooting something that is black and white like your cat or dog, piano keys, black ink on white paper etc etc, it's entirely up to you.

The thread will be closed on the 24th to allow for 7 days of voting. Good luck.

Guidelines are:

• Must be your own work.
• Only 1 entry each.
• Max file size 800x600 250KB. (There's info on optimising your image size in the sticky of the same name)
• Pictures to be embedded into your post in this thread rather than attached. (Use a free image host that allows hot linking such as imageshack or photobucket and encase the direct link in [IMG][/IMG] tags. There's a quick guide on how to do it here)
• Pictures should be taken for the competition rather than entering previously shot images.

It's not about what equipment you have mate.. Any camera is capable of taking a quality image, it's up to the user to make it take the right image..

Some quality shots coming out already, looks like the standard has been raised from last months comp, best get me camera out and start shooting..Time to get me thinking cap on for a subject.. Now where's the wife...

another one taken with my K750i of my psycho dog jake, looks positively normal there tho, was a very hard shot to get as he only ever tilts his head like that for a split second, and usually when i try take a pic by the time the shutter snaps hes moved his head, took me ages gettin it

It's up to you. If it's the way you interpreted the theme then leave it as it is (although maybe it looks more black and pink with a hint of white ).

As for Pongo's, I can see the idea behind it. It's got the white water at the bottom and above it black looking water, so fits the theme of "black and white".
