Samsung. They are the puppies privates of LCDs. I have seen the 26" running and it's nice. If you can afford more the 40" is even nicer and only just over £1300.

I have a 19" widescreen Acer LCD for my PC which has a nifty 8ms response and a res of 1440x900 which is great except only a monitor so I'm waiting for the VGA cable to arrive for the 360. I also have the 26" Acer LCD TV which is very nice but slightly lower res that the Samsung (1280x720 or summat).

fe_man2000 has the 26" Sammy and I can say with certainty that its a much nicer beast than any others out there at the moment.

Yeah but like I say its for my sons bedroom and 40" is too big Im actually getting the 40" for my living room later as I know someone who works for Dabs and can get the VAT off for me so I will get it even cheaper but he cant get me the 26" as they arent getting anymore.

mayb better but the way i look at it is

M$ decided that the 26" 1 was the best 2 show off there new console so its got 2 be good,

might be worth nipping down to commet and asking to see both of these tvs playing a 360( if they think your gunna buy from them they should ben over backwards 2 help) then u can decide for your self

p.s. tell you son hes a lucky bugger

Looks like the 27" has a better contrast ratio - by quite a bit. Other than that it probably has a slightly faster refresh rate. If you can get the 27" for that price you may as well go for that. (Although I prefer the styling on the 26") :-)

DVI and HDMI are almost identical interfaces. You can (for around £9) buy a HDMI to DVI cable. The only difference between them is that HDMI also carries the audio down the same cable. If you will be using a seperate amp that would not be needed anyway.

And that is a massive contrast ratio for an LCD. That is plasma figures....

ive seen the one, but was unsure if it had all the features. BUT you still need to add VAT.... I would still say the 26" is still the best value/quality!
