my xbox is dead

just had the dreaded ring of light on the console(2 on lhs and bottom rhs quadrants) flashing away tried all the stuff on m$ website/manual but still the same,has this happened to anybody and it has remedied itself with a few hours cooling down or is it back to m$ with it........have not had a bit of bother from it since xmas day was playing rr6 tonight and suddenly screen went blank(ring was still green but locked up) and when i reset the power got the ring of red

also any further tips with dealing with m$ and what to do/what not to do would be grateful..i am truly sad

Well I dont see anything about 2 red lights only 1 3 or 4?? so maybe something else, not too sure if that maybe a Video problem have you checked your AV cable/s properly I presume you have but always ask the stupidest questions first

my m8 add sim problem takin it back to shop thay told him to send it to m$ ffs still waiting for new one to come

If you try unplugging everything, including the hard drive and leave it overnight, it might reset itself.

Then again it might just not.

If and when you do ring Microsoft tell them right at the start of the conversation that you are recording the conversation. Make some excuse if you must, like you have memory problems, but they will have to be careful with their lies. Be assured, they will lie.

Be prepared for a long process of fannying about, but hopefully it will be fine in the morning.

heres another little bit of info for you i was playing on xboxlive the other night and got talkin to a few lads in the usa who had sent there xboxes back with faults they all had got a few games of M$ as a little bit of compo but i think they had had to ask for them 1 of the guys whos 360 has been back a couple of times has had 4 games out of them gotta be worth a try

Thats good to hear i have waited for 1 month for microshaft to sort mine out....... hopefully today or tomorrow i will recieve mine back (did buy it on the 10th dec...) So be warned i know microshaft are the worst company every. they lie through their teeth

yep played it on xbox live all the time...seems to be working ok this morning will keep an eye on it and see if it does it again
