    it seems to be something to do with registry me thinks, but just cant put my finger on the problem as of yet. it not my pc it for my brother i just taking time out to have a look for him. thanks for reply

    When you say DVEMV.EXE are you sure you don't mean devenv.exe?

    Also when you said vb.net, did you mean visual studio.net / vs.net?
