    Default MP3 to CD

I have a MP3 mix album thats one massive long MP3, it has a .cue file, I tried to burn to a CD (using the .cue) but I cant find anything that does it.

I've tried Nero, DVD Dec, Alc 120%.....I'm guessing the .cue will split it up into tracks??

I can burn as an Audio CD in Nero but then it will just be one track.

    Any ideas?

Have you looked at the .cue file in notepad? Nero WILL do it, but I's say use CDrWin for it. Take a look in the cue file though just to make sure it is deffo split up properly...

If it's one large mp3 and you require separation into audio tracks (as opposed to data "tracks") then you'll need software like Sound Forge or Audacity (free) to split it.

Certainly Nero won't separate a single mp3 into its component audio tracks.

He said he managed to burn the file as an audio using Nero. I have assumed he wants to split the long mp3 into smaller discrete tracks.

yeah i have tried to burn image, and pointed at the .cue file, thats what it won't let me do!

I'm unsure what the .cue file is for. I was thinking the .cue file may seperate the tracks as the source the mp3 is from, was an audio CD with about 13 tracks

the cue file doesn't split the track up so to speak it just puts track indexes in at the right place to give you track selection so it still burns as one file
alcohol 120% will burn with a cue file just go through the image burning wizard and select the cue file
or you could try easy cd da extractor another program that burns mp3's via a cue file

you could always try an iso extractor that would save you having to burn it at all just extract its contents to the hard drive
