    Default Surname Profiler

Really quite good this, you can find out the distribution of your surname around the country and compare it to how it was in 1881.
Unfortunately my name isnt of british origin so it's useless to me, but i'm sure some of you will be interested to know where your roots are!

btw, site is slow at the moment but if you keep trying it will eventually work. It is probably best to wait till the late evening to get onto it to be honest, the site is overwhelmed during the day.

its interesting there are hardly any smiths in wales
