Default Accidently flashed wrong bios on alladin XT

Picked up the wrong bios disk and flashed the xt. Now obviously won't boot.

Whats the best thing to do? Order another chip?

Or can I use my chipped box to hotswap and reflash the chip? If so how do I go about it? I have the same chip in mine with a pin header so do I just boot the cd, unplug my chip and plug the other in, then flash?

    Cheers

Ok grounded D0 on xbox. Linked bt with pin2/gnd on chip.

Booted flash cd, swap chips and now its telling me "flash not writeable"

I have had this before on aladdin chips and they only seem to boot when the BT and L1 and connected on the mobo.

Is there anything i can link on the chip to enable write mode?

Best thing to do with the chip here. Install chip with d0 to board and BT to correct point. The BT is the switch to change modes which you need to enable flash mode. Keep power button pressed in for at least 2 full seconds to enter flash mode.

Boot from the disc as usual and get it ready to flash.

Then swap the chip over. You do NOT need to reconnect D0 and BT for flashing purposes.

One thing to watch out for is to ensure that your flash program has the strings for the chip you are using.
Some of the older discs do not recognise the new 49lf020A chips.
And i'm having trouble flashing the 49lf002B chips even when correct strings are entered.

Hey I am new at this.

I have the 49lf020 Chip installed in my 1.6 xbox and I installed a dashboard with AID installer disc. Now I want to install a lager hard drive and partion it using chimp. I have chimp 2.6 installed in my hdd but it does not work. Is that because of my bios? I have never flashed a bios can you help me with this? Thanks

He also wants to change to a lager hdd, for this he would need a sweet cider m.b , Smirnoff mule ssd and a pioneer dvd rom all available from the introduction section
