    Default Quick Photoshop question

I am trying to use the rounded rectangle feature but I want it to be surrounded by a black line. When I draw it the outer line is transparent. What is the best way to do what I want?

It is easy enough to do a rectangle using the line tool but I want a rounded rectangle.

    Cheers

Here's one way to do it, sounds a bit over complicated but it's not really:

With your image open create a new layer.

Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool and the Fill Pixels option.

In the new layer draw your rounded rectangle, don't worry about the fill colour because it will be deleted anyway.

Hold down CTRL and left click on the new layer thumbnail in the Layers palette to select the rectangle. You can switch off this layers visibility now.

Select your original layer, then go to Edit>Stroke... and choose your outline colour and width then click OK. You should now have your rounded rectangle.

You can delete the new layer you created earlier.

Cheers for that, I ended up drawing one with a black fill, then overlayed it with a smaller one with a white fill, will give your method a go though, cheers!
