360 With Media Remote Worry ?

A mate has got a XBox 360 for me and has told me it has the media remote with it. I thought he had bought it from a shop but I misunderstood him and it now turns out that he got it off Ebay but got a reduction when he realised that one of his mates had an auction going selling 4 of them. So he got them at cost.

However, I have now read that there is a much greater problem with the consoles that came with the remote and they are much more prone to freezing than the slightly later models.

Is this true ?

no. they are the same unit its just the boxes with free media remotes were a jesture for buying on release.
i wouldnt worry about the "faults" people make it sound much worse than it is. all my mates and there is over 20 of us have never had a problem. yesterday i played xbox360 for 13 hours have 1 half hour break to refuel with
3min microwave mini pizzas and various drinks

No probs here either played for hours and hours and never had a game freeze on me ..And mine was a Premium with the remote

im on my 2nd one but mine was a core all my friends had premiums and not one had a fault just my luck i guess
