Xbox 360 Rumor Control (Feb. 6th)

Rumor 1: Sometime around November 2006, MS is launching a complete media service on the marketplace. This will range from 99 cent songs, to 3.99 streaming movies.

Rumor 2: At next E3, MS will announce a parternship with Blizzard that will bring World of Warcraft exclusively to 360. The deal is done, and Blizzard is working on porting the game and a console control scheme. This game will also include a unannounced expansion that the PC gamers will have to wait about a month to get after we get this game. Only 360 gamers will be on specific 360 servers, the game will include voice chat, and it wouldn't work with PC gamers.

Rumor 3: Halo 3 will be out Quarter 4 of 2006.

Rumor 4: There will be over 50 Sega Dreamcast games on the Xbox Live Arcade within 2 years, launched a handfull at a time. Every Dreamcast game released on 360 will be priced at around 10 dollars.

Rumor 5: Bonk's Adventure is coming to Xbox Live Arcade September 2006.

Some good non-factoids there to think about. All seem plausible, even Halo 3 being out in quarter four of 2006. After all, even though many sites predicted Halo 3 to be out sometime in 2007, Halo 3 has about 11 months until Christmas to polish up the game and get it out in time for the holidays.

Most of those rumours seem pretty truthful, and i like the sounds of WOW coming to the 360, but the the rumour that excites me the most is the dc games coming to xbla........to relive the days of Powerstone would be amazing, and also having another stab at shenmue would be cool!

Number 4 is cool, will take ahalf a day to d/l and will probably fall in line with an official M$ 100gb HD instead of the 20gb (Robbing gits) but it's all good.

Obviously not much coming out in the way of original titles then lol.

Number 2 makes sense since Sony has Everquest and they would probably use it against 360!

i mean at the start of hearing about the 360 i was kinda like i dont want shit like that but now i can see they there are some good ideas coming from the 360 side of M$, all i need to do now is get my 360 which should be coming tomorrow.

I don;t think WoW would work well on a console. I love the game though. Also do not like the idea of 360 only servers because then I could not play my current character on the 360.

hmm, would make sense for Microsoft to get into bed with blizzard so to speak. However i do see more mmorpgs coming to the 360. I would rather have WoW to play on my 360than SWG or EQ2 on the PS3 ( SOE + MMORPG = crap games) However, they would have to do alot to get WoW to work as the PvP is pretty hectic, so i guess a keyboard will be a must. I do wonder what this expansion will be as they havent even released the first one yet. Still WoW has content always added, so HDD will be a must and would take up a good amount of space.

you'll be glad to hear that Treasure (creators of Ikaruga - the best shoot-em up of all time) are currently working on a shoot-em up for the 360.
