NEW KID on the security block, Microsoft, has released a product which detects one of its rivals as spyware and then deletes them.

A recent update to Microsoft's anti-spyware application flags Norton as a password-stealing program and prompts users to remove it.

Symantec is working with affected customers, the number of which is expected to be small, because the mislabeling error only happens when a combination of enterprise software and consumer test software are used together.

Recently got rid of Norton in favour of McAfee. Had right shite problems trying to uninstall the thing. Norton is a virus itself!!! Had to get into the registry and manually delete everything. McAfee is lots better in my opinion

im telling you norton is shit - it completely takes over your lame system and slows it to fuck

if you dont think its causing problems you are wrong and i can prove it

you only have to look online to see the norton disapproval ratings

norton is for ppl who know jack about computers imho

I've never used norton, just seen it gobble up too many resources on other pc's. My comps been quite happy accomodating zonelabs security suite for the past 3 years.
