    Start - Run - "msconfig"

    BOOT INI Tab.

    "Check Boot Paths".

    It should then tell you one is not valid and have the option to remove it.

    Please let someone confirm first tho - just in case

    Take a look in the mean time - so you know what im talking about lol.

    im 90% sure thats right - just dont want you messing up your boot ini.

    renaming the thread would help as "help" isnt very descriptive.

    edit: - as i have done, so anyone who knows anything about the above should glance over

    You can edit boot.ini manually... Go into system properties and its somewhere in there.. I'll check when I get onto a windows PC later...

    Post the contents of the boot.ini file here (you will find it in the root of whatever drive you have installed the OS on).

    right-click on my computer -->properties-->Advanced-->(Startup & recovery) Settings -->(System Startup) Edit. This is an example of mine, yours should be something similar (same structure) but prehaps with different boot flags (such as nogui)...

    Code:
    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /noguiboot /NoExecute=OptIn
