could try get a plane to london luton airport.. they do a free bus service which drops passengers for FREE down the road to luton parkway station, then its around 20 mins on the train to central london.
easyjet or ryanair are cheap. try there websites...
Pretty much all Ryanairs flight are from Dublin/shannon or to Dublin/shannon. so manchester to London isnt an option
Easyjet also dont do Manchester to London either.
check this site for routing of budget airlines www.whichbudget.com

flybe? tried last minute.com?
lol every 3 seconds. It's every 15 minutes and the last time i was on it, i had to pay £12 single. But it's worth every penny ^____^
Dare I suggest going by train. You can do it for £40 if you buy 2 singles and don't mind a bit of a long journey back. I used to fly from Blackpool but it takes so much longer with the check-in and baggage collection then the Stansted Express (40 mins).
The earliest you can travel on the 7th is 10:45am, gets into London at 13:08. Coming back 16:30 arriving at Manchester at 20:30.
