Audio prob on 360 help

Okl got my 360 hooked into my yamaha amp when im playing games or watching dvd no prob laverly 5.1.
The problem is when i dload the game trailers off live i dont seem to get clear audio just a very low subdued rumble from the subwoofer are they supposed to play in 5.1? Or just stereo

do you have indication on the amp what channels are outputting ? (i have a little graphical representation on my yam, in corner of display on front that goes upto 6.1 ( xbox 360 is obviously 5.1 tho ))?

i aint found a game / demo that aint 5.1 , check your cables / dashboard settings as you have a prob sumwere

p.s. any demo in particular u having probs with ?

im gonna check now but it was problematic with lost planet ,dead rising and the G.R.A.W development diary will report back thanks for the pointers!!

Ok just checked the optical is in the 360 lead and amp properly the amp displays Dolby Digital on the front display the lost planet trailer i dloaded when i first got it bout 6 weeks ago has proper 5.2 audio but dead rising elderscrolls oblivion and G.R.A.W development diary trailers just give me muffle from the sub woofer.
Just checked mutant storm and geometry wars they have gone muffled as well now this is doing my head in .

Right just checked Kameo and im getting perfect 5.1 Dolby digital it seems to be the content on my hard drive thats mashing up on me as i just checked the music that comes on the hard drive and it was all muffled and only coming out the sub!!

Ok coupla days later and ive rechecked swapped around all the optical cables messed with all settings in 360 dash and on my amp and still no joy.
Any ideas im beginning to think my 360 is fooked!!
