    Default BBC Multicast Technical Trial

The bbc have started their trails for online mulitcast which anyone can view:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/multicast/channels.shtml

Can get all the BBC and ITV channels.

I've had a go but cant get any of them to work at work. Anyone else have any luck?

edit: only works with certain ISPs apparently:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/multicast/index.shtml
Am on plusnet so will give it a go when i get home.

    2. Check your ISP
Unless you subscribe to one of the Multicast-enabled ISPs listed below, we do not believe you will be able to receive the streams.

    JANET
    C & W (but not Bulldog)
    clara.net
    NetServices Plc
    PlusNet
    Zen Internet
    KeConnect Internet
    InterVivo

If you are with a multicast-enabled ISP that is not on the above list, please let us know. It's simple to give us your feedback.

If your ISP is not on this list, please check out our FAQ about multicasting and contacting your ISP.

well balls to the bbc, I mean we only pay a rising tv fee each year so you can have more phlem-wads chatting nonsense.

This could open up a whole legal debate here. I wonder if it is legal to view BBC1/2 without a TV licence?

I may be able to disconnect my ariel and just stream from my PC and never pay a TV licence again (there was a test case a few years ago where someone took out the RF component out of his TV and didn't need to pay a TV licence)

"But those who only use their computer, for example, to watch TV broadcasts will need to ensure they are properly licensed."
