    Default error message

every time I log on to my pc I get
    error loading c:\program files\acceleration software\antivirus\sstmon.dll

how can I stop this as its only minor but really starting to pee me off.

obviously Ive deleted some antivirus software but why is it still looking for it?

Sounds like your registry is still looking to load it mate. If the AV folder is empty, use regedit, search for the .dll and remove the entries for it.
NOTE: make a backup of your registry first!

start/run/ type "msconfig" and run it.
Click the "startup" tab, and see if it's listed there, if it is, take the tick out of the box, if not click the "services" tab, then "hide all microsoft services"
If it's there take the tick out of the box.
    Reboot, and VOILA !!

Ive tried that but then it boots up in diagnostic and then has to reset and after restart I get the error message again.
    any other suggestions?
