cant get onto live mtu failing

really doing my head in says mtu fail but ive checked router and my ethernet card and both are set at 1400 (says 1364 minimum) any ideas

yea i've got the same problem its xbox live thats down m8
check major nelsons blog it says he has'nt been on live in 36years and 3 months. xbox.com forums are down also check out are gamer tags they are all page cannot be displayed

access your router via your PC, usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1 (it will tell you in the router manual probably)

on the left hand side you usually have a list of features, one of them being 'DMZ'

It will ask you to set an IP on the DMZ so add one in the range available e.g. 192.168.0.5 or 192.168.2.5

On your 360, goto the manual network settings, add the IP you have set on your router DMZ, the gateway (usually 255.255.255.0, again your router manual will probably tell you)

Then you should be able to test the connection and it should work fine. The DMZ bypasses any standard router config and settings and basically gives you a direct connection to the ISP
