mexico - cheap phone sim card?

Off to mexico - maya riviera for 2 weeks over easter- dont wanna take my contract mobile- want a break from every1 but would like to contact and be contacted by close family.

Ive got a spare triband phone-any one recommend a cheap pay as u go sim that i can buy before i go away?

From what i've seen most of the places online that offer you simcards rip you off no end. I saw one company charging £30 for a thai sim card which you can get over there for a few quid. I'm sure you'll easyly be able to get a sim once you get over there.

Yep,
It looks like Telcel is the only GSM provider in Mexico M8, I usually buy a PAYG SIM when I get to where-ever, it works out cheaper that way.
