360 keeps turning on and off etc

Hi anyone have any idea what could interfere with a 360 in means of turning itself on and off and the drawer opening and shutting. I thought it was my sons xbox360 going faulty but swapped with mine and doing the same but doesn't affect the one dowstairs only the one in his bedroom. He is driving me mad as he is playing on perfect dark or fifa on live and the drawer just opens. Any ideas what could be interfering

I am no great technical mind but is there any chance it could be a power issue in that room or even a compatibility issue? When you swapped the 360s around did you swap all of the parts or just the main system. cos if you didn't swap the power cable it could be related to that

I only swapped the system around,,,i'll try my power supply upstairs on my sons and see what happens,,,,

if its plugged into an adaptor with lots of other things on it... try giving it a socket in the wall to itself... it's maybe screwing it up by having an unstable amount of power.

it's plugged in an adaptor with 5 othe plugs,,,hope thats the prob if it is thanks alot for the info guys

If not see if your neighbour doesn't have a 360 too. I can control mine from 30 ft away.

On your wireless pad (which is turned off)

Press the big x button.....
Wait for it to assign a player other than player one and you will no you have logged someone elses xbox
Then hold the big x button for 5 seconds

On the D pad up twice

Press A

Enjoy

my neighbours don't have a 360 at either side of us that i know of but wouldn't it control mine downstairs aswell,,,the one downstairs is ok,,

Not sure if it would affect it but do you have any of them cordless phones in your house as either a phone or unit nearby could be interfering on the wireless signals. Or on the same point, any video senders etc. as that could do the same

we got some cordless phones but we have had them ages,,no video senders tho,,,xbox only been doin this for last week or so and only does it maybe once a day sometimes twice,,

Have you considered it maybe ......dare I say it faulty?

How about swapping the xbox's around and see if the other one does the same? Then you would know for sure it's localised interference.

is there any remotes in his room? low bats make remotes do daft things.......could it be something like that?

I have a video sender and it doesn't affect my 360. I know this won't help Stewsy but it might help someone else to know that it doesn't interfere.
