    Default Strange, Strange Saha.......fair play.

Now obviously, its not standard practice for a Liverpool supporter to post a thread praising a Manc Player. However, I always try and stay objective and open where possible, and in this instance, I just dont know if I am on my own....

    Louis Saha...shit or not?

After seeing him play regularly for united, with no injuries for once, he seems to be scoring a shit load of goals, and I really am pleased for him - its nice that he come from Fulham to United, and is now doing the buisness....however. He looks like he cant really play football as well as his stats suggest.

He has awful control, awful first touch, terrible awareness, awkward finishing, and a terrible lack of composure.....so how does he make himself so effective? I think he is the new Andy Cole, Andy Cole has made a career out of not being a conventional striker, very awkward looking, and scored more goals with his shin then just about anyone else..

I just cant work Saha out, a couple of manc friends of mine dont really feel comfortable with him up front, and use the classic line "he is not a united player"...I was just wondering what the general consensus is.

One thing is for sure, he just cant stop scoring, so fair play to the lad.

Why is his nose always bright pink though, something that always makes me chuckle...he must be drinking the same stuff as Sir Alex.

That finish this afternoon was world class. One thing I do know, I'd have him in my side before Cisse.

saha.. looks world class one minute, and the next he'll fuck up an easier chance than the one he put away. that, or not even control the ball in the first place.

thats my whole point....even in this thread people are of different opinion about him...very strange for a player at "the top" to cause that much differ in opinion.

I think I would rather have Cisse in my team than Saha, but to be honest, neither look like they are in control of their feet at times.

i have always thought saha was a superb player, his contribution in build up play has always impressed me even when he was getting injured. His pace and his jumping ability leans well to the prem. He even occasionally makes to odd tackle.

He does sometimes dwell in the box and seems to perform better when he has less time to think in the box.

He was the highest scorer in the worthless which is where he was given a run of games this season prior to pool knocking us out of the FA cup which is the reason ruud was benched. Ruud played shyte and potentially got us knocked out of a cup whereas it could be argued that saha won us a cup.

Fergie has imo played a part in building the confidence and is also doing the right thing putting rvn on the bench to get him hungry again.

Saha was a good player at a crap club (fullham) made him shine an he scored plenty of goals.

at United hes an ok player at a good club, so we wont see him shne like he did at fullham.

i have very mixed thoughts about saha, like above, he cant control, his first touch is astonishingly bad, he fallls over to easy, not aware (that much) but yet he scores goals, Hes a striker and hes there to score goals and hes been doing that, so credit to him.

i wouldnt bet on him scoring like i would Rooney though, you tell me if you had a choice between Saha and Ruud, who would you pick?

i reckon they just sell Flecther, now hes another thread topic

He isn't an extremely reliable player but he is a very good one. His control can be terrible and at other times can be magical. As was seen with the goal against Bolton on Saturday, fabulous finish and control leading to it

Sell Fletcher, yes, I think so.

I'd definately have Saha in my team, but then again I support Bradford City so there aint many players that I wouldn't have in my team

just think of all the time wasted on fletcher giving him chances to build on his potential when even just some of that couldve been given to dave jones

thank god you Utd fans are finally admitting Fletcher is terrible....the amount of people on various forums, here included, saying fletcher is going to be world class etc is laughable

Feltcher is indeed a poor player..... (we'll not poor.... just not good enough for Manchester United) richardson ain't that much better.... With fergie releasing fortune this summer we should cut the other dead wood in preperation for our truly worldclass midfielder we're going to pay a fortune for in the summer!
Not quite sure who that is yet though! :

hold on, who said he would be world class

he is a good squad player and we are waiting for the keano replacement

I would think anyone outside the top 6 would want to sign him come the end of the season if fergie lets him go, but he wont he will become a rotated midfielder imo

Fletcher is a tidy player, but lacks confidence imo. needs to beef up, get an attitude, and some balls and he would be a very good player (dont know about a class though). if he leaves, you watch him at another club proving a point.

but with his current way of doing things, no.. bench for you mate.

Info Re: Strange, Strange Saha.......fair play.

We had Saha at the toon on trial and sent him back cos he wasnt good enough

    That sums us up !!!

He is there to score goals and he is doing that even the greatest players in the world miss sitters

well said, i think rooney has missed more sitters than saha of late. lets give credit where it is due, the player has been given a chance and grabbed it with both hands.

Roy Keane was always going to be hard to replace...where else will you find an over rated racist with his best years well and truely behind him since the day he left Forest and a scoring record Lampard and Gerrard must piss themselves at....I remember once Fergi said he would love Gerrard to be Keanes replacement at OT. What a slap in the face for Gerrard being compared to that medicore pile of shite...

As much as I dislike Keane he is the best midfielder the Premiership has ever seen, certainly the most influential. Only Vieira ever came close to matching his consistency.
