    Default Going to Tunisia

I am going to Tunisia in July and i was wondering if anyone had any info on the hotel i am going to. The hotel is the club caribbean world in Skanes. I cant find any info on the net at all. So if anyone has been here or even seen this hotel, i would be grateful for any info. I was at Skanes last year and enjoyed it, but we have booked a differant hotel this time due to the kids both now being 13.

    Thanks in adv

    How i've waited for this....

    See my previous thread here

    http://www.digital-forums.com/showth...hlight=tunisia

I stayed in Liberty Hotel, Skanes
Don't eat the food, you'll get poisoned
The Air con was broken in the whole hotel
The hotel manager kept trying to short change us when changing travellers cheques
Every taxi driver in the country will charge you night rates at day time
Everyshop keeper is a cunt and will try to rip you off, unless its a pre-priced shop which is hard to find.
If you have a misses, don't let her out on her own, she'll get mugged. happened to 2 people in a week when we were there, both in broad daylight in a public street.
The hotel purposefully had uncomfortable sunbeds with spaced slats that dug in, and offered out foam mats to put on them. They only charged english people for this 'priviledge'.
The glasses were never washed, they were simply swilled out with water and put back for re-use, no soap, no polishing, just a 1 second spray of water.
Half the glasses were cracked or chipped.
All the food was on open display, and had several flys crawling over it.

P.S. Don't go to Skanes, its a shit hole. Theres another bigger town nearby which is ALOT better.

what you are really saying is dont go to the Liberty hotel. I was at Skanes last year and it was that good that i am going back this year. I stayed at the Sahara beach hotel and the food was great. Wide choice evey day. The waiters were first class and looked after you from day one. I was impressed by the country. They shop keepers do tend to annoy you, but if put in their place they leave you alone.

I went to Hammamet 8 years ago, was great, apart from all the purple haired grannies that were in the same hotel. So I did the 3 day Sahara trip, to get away from them

well that was a waste of time. First Choice have now emailed me telling me that this hotel will not be ready in time so they have moved me to the Houda golf and beach hotel. Have looked an the reviews and although there are one or two bad ones there are also a good number saying it was a defo worth the money
