Shutdown problem when playing Godfather

Installed this today but pc is rebooting as soon as the game kicks in.

The cut scene in the beginning is fine, but as soon as the game is about to start it reboots??

Any ideas please ??

Your cpu overheating?

Intel CPU? Check your temps and check in your bios if the system shutdown setting is 60 deg, if it is up it to 70.

No m8, CPU is cool as ice bud.

Athlon running at 50c, it only happens when the game itself kicks in, the intro and everything else is fine but as soon as im set to take part in the game it reboots.

Im thinking its a gfx prob, drivers maybe. Using a GeForce 4400Ti, dunno which drivers i should use though. Never updated them since i bought it.

You could just try the latest drivers from nvidia, but if you can get the v43 as I know my 4800ti always worked great with them, are you using the latest Direct X, if not update this also.

On the hardware side, if its not your CPU, try the Power supply and even check out the 4400Ti fan, make sure its not clogged with dust.

I've recently had to buy a new pc etc.

When i installed my GFX card the drivers for it were causing all sorts of problems and the system kept turning itself off.

New drivers no shut downs.

Right from bad to worse....lol

Newest DirectX installed.

Newest Nvidia 84.21 forceware international installed. (tried the 43.45 version as well)

Now all i get is a black screen and the game wont boot at all.

Are you using a No CD/DVD patch? I've seen this issue on another site where this was the cause of the problem...

Yes i am, i cant be bothered to leave the dvd in the drive all the time so i always crack the games that i buy
